Empowering Your Educational Journey

The Thinking Hand Institute

An Institution Focused on the Study of the Language of Drawing

The Thinking Hand Institute is a community and learning platform dedicated to educating, nourishing and revitalising the culture of drawing - reintroducing the Language of Drawing as a vital way of seeing, thinking, and creating.

We champion educational excellence and education choice to professions, students and the general lay-person.

We believe in the importance of a right-hemispheric method of thinking, and one way to do that is by learning how to draw.

We work to change the culture that typically prizes a left (brain) hemispheric method of thinking by appealing to culture and science to reiterate the importance of a right (brain) hemispheric method of thinking through drawing.

Together, we seek to enrich and influence public discourse; provide educational materials to help realise the promise and potential of bringing back a right hemispheric method of thinking through the tools of the human hand.
